Our founder Bernard Wesseling grew up with sustainable ideals. After studying at the MTS in Ede and a career as a software programmer at NXP Semiconductors, he completed an education in development cooperation in Wageningen. During his travels, especially in Africa, he was confronted with the impact of climate change caused by the richer countries. This inspired him to use his passion for sustainable technology for a better environment. He wants to make a difference with beautiful, sustainable and good solar lamps that always work.
At SolarWoodle, Bernard takes pride in creating sustainable products that contribute to a greener world. He appreciates the team he has gathered around him and is proud that his company delivers solar solutions to iconic locations such as the beach entrances of Noordwijk, a golf course at Texel, and the National Park De Hoge Veluwe. With creativity, humor, and a client-specific approach, Bernard strives for a sustainable future for all. His ambition is for SolarWoodles to be found everywhere: from campsites in rocky Switzerland to nature parks on Bonaire or from hotels on the Veluwe to parking lots and vacation parks in the south of France.
